How it works
Beagle Learning by Beagle HR: no accounts, no passwords and nothing to install. Here is what happens for the person doing the course and for the manager who asked them to.
For learners
- Open the link your manager sent you, on any phone, tablet or computer.
- Enter your name, your job title if you want it on the certificate, your email if you would like a copy, and the access code.
- Work through the screens. Knowledge checks and scenarios along the way give you instant feedback and are not scored.
- Take the assessment. Ten multiple choice questions in a random order. The pass mark is 8 out of 10.
- Pass and you will see a printable certificate, get it by email if you gave an address, and your manager is notified. If you do not pass, you will see which topics to look at again and can retake straight away.
For managers
- Your business has one access code that works for every course. Share it with staff along with the course links.
- Each pass is emailed to you as it happens, with the learner's name, the course, the score and the date.
- Every completion is recorded, so there is a training record for inspections, insurers and tribunals without a spreadsheet.
- Each course states when a refresher is due, typically every 12 months.
- Some points in a course are specific to your business, such as who the fire wardens are or where the accident book is kept. The course flags these and asks the learner to confirm them with you.
Common questions
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The courses are built for phones first, so staff can do them on a break or between jobs.
What if someone fails the assessment?
Nothing is recorded for a fail. The learner sees which questions to revisit and can retake immediately with the questions reshuffled.
How long is a certificate valid?
Each course states its own refresher period, usually 12 months, or sooner if the job, equipment or workplace changes.
Can we have a course written for our business?
Yes. Beagle HR builds bespoke courses for clients, such as age restricted sales training for a specific business. See the employer page.
Is this legal or HR advice?
The courses are training for staff. They are written by Beagle HR and reflect UK law and HSE guidance at the time of writing, but they do not replace the advice Beagle HR gives your business directly.
